Die Sonne steht tief, kein Laut ist zu hören, es ist später Nachmittag und ich lasse die bizarren Formen einer Halbwüste im Südosten Spaniens auf mich einwirken.
Über ein 234 Km2 großes Gebiet erstreckt sich die Halbwüste der “Los Barrancos” – “Die Schluchten”. Die Halbwüste besteht aus lehmartigen Sandstein, der sich durch Regen und Witterung beständig verformt, abspült, wieder verdichtet und im Laufe der Jahrhunderte ständig neue Formen bildet. Die Barrancos sind aus einem Tal des Flusses “Chicamo” hervorgegangen und sind eine typische Landschaftsform, die sich in Spanien an mehreren Orten findet.
Das Gebiet beherbergt trotz der kargen Bedingungen einzigartige Pflanzen und Tiere, die sich nur unter diesen Umweltbedingungen entwickeln. Die Grafik dieser Landschaft ist einzigartig und ich lasse auf mich eine meditative Stimmung ein um dieses Schauspiel mit meiner Kamera festzuhalten.

The sun is low, not a sound can be heard, it is late afternoon and I let the bizarre shapes of a semi-desert in south-eastern Spain affect me.
The semi-desert of the “Los Barrancos” – “The Gorges” extends over an area of 234 km2. The semi-desert consists of clay-like sandstone, which is constantly deformed by rain and weather, washing away, recompacting and constantly forming new forms over the centuries. The Barrancos emerged from a valley of the Chicamo River and are a typical landscape form that can be found in several places in Spain.
Despite the arid conditions, the area is home to unique plants and animals that only develop under these environmental conditions. The graphics of this landscape are unique and I allow myself a meditative mood to capture this spectacle with my camera.
